# Endoskeletal

> Endoskeletal is a declarative language for describing organizations precisely enough that software, autonomous agents and people can run them together. A specification states who holds which positions, what the organization wants, which rules are in force, who may change them, and what it needs from the outside world. It never names the vendor, service or model that provides a capability; that is bound at runtime by a party with the authority to do so, on recorded evidence.

Key facts: the kernel has ten primitives (Party, Scope, Position, Intent, Norm, Commitment, Capability, Event, Claim, Entity); the append-only log is the only state; authority is computed for every act and unauthorized acts are recorded as misfires; claims are four-valued (T, F, N unknown, B contradicted) and evidence expires.
